Albumolic — backend & cloud infrastructure for a music-investment startup
Albumolic lets fans buy albums, subscribe as superfans, and invest in releases for a share of the revenue. I build the backend services and the Terraform-managed AWS platform behind it.

What it is
Albumolic is a consumer music startup with a native iOS app: fans buy albums for unlimited streaming, subscribe as superfans, or invest in a release and earn a share of its revenue. The app is Swift 6 / SwiftUI; my work is everything behind it.
What I build
- Backend services. The APIs the product runs on (users, catalog, and the services around them), designed to scale as a clean set of microservices.
- The AWS platform, as code. A Terraform-managed foundation — 2-AZ VPC, RDS Postgres, Cognito auth, S3, CloudFront, and an EventBridge/SQS event backbone — with a MediaConvert pipeline for audio.
- Sane cloud conventions. One account per environment under an AWS Organization, remote state with locking, GitHub OIDC deploys, and SSO — so the platform is reproducible and safe to change.
Status
Active and shaping up well — building toward launch.
Frequently asked
What is Albumolic?
An iOS app that lets fans connect with artists — buy an album for unlimited streaming, subscribe as a superfan, or invest in a release and earn a share of its revenue.
What do you build there?
The backend engineering and the AWS platform: the services (users, catalog, and more), and the Terraform-managed infrastructure they run on — VPC, RDS, Cognito, S3, CloudFront, an EventBridge/SQS backbone, and a MediaConvert audio pipeline.
How is the infrastructure organized?
Infrastructure as code, one AWS account per environment under an Organization, remote Terraform state, GitHub OIDC for deploys, and SSO instead of long-lived keys — every resource described in Terraform as the single source of truth.
